The basics: Tyler and Tina are both Nevada natives and grew up just a few miles from each other - Tyler in Boulder City and Tina in Henderson. Tyler's parents, Gerry and Donna, have lived in Boulder City since they were children, where their families established very strong roots. Tina is a first generation American. Her parents, Phuong and Tuy Van, both immigrated from Vietnam in the late 1970's and met in Nevada where they settled, married, and raised their family.
School & Work: Tyler graduated from Boulder City High School as Valedictorian and was also an accomplished athlete. Tyler was inducted into the Boulder City Golden Eagle Hall of Fame for baseball and basketball in 2022. Tyler then received his Bachelors in Finance from the University of Nevada - Reno. Tina also received her Bachelors in Finance, but instead of the cold, snowy weather, of northern Nevada she opted for fun in the sun at the University of San Diego. Tina attended Green Valley High School where she was also involved in sports, but mainly focused on her AP/IB academics and played violin in the orchestra program. Tyler currently works as a Trader at DraftKings and Tina is a personal trainer - both agreeing the finance industry was not for them.
How they met & what they like to do: Tyler and Tina in January of 2021 at the gym but didn't start dating until March of that year. Their first date was at the Rio Hotel & Casino where they played a very competitive game of KISS Mini Golf. Tina started strong with an impressive hole-in-one, but Tyler ended up taking the win. This was Tina's introduction to Tyler's competitive nature. Afterwards, they enjoyed dinner and conversation at Balboa Pizza in the District, where they still go for date nights and to celebrate anniversaries. Over the years, Tyler and Tina have shared many fun memories and dates together - many of them at Allegiant Stadium where they've seen Metallica perform, watched the Raiders play, and cheered on Tina's favorite college football team - Notre Dame. They also enjoy the fall and pick pumpkins at Gilcrease Orchard every year. Tina and Tyler are very family-oriented and love spending time with Tyler's niece Bryn, his nephews Brody and Chase, and Tina's twin nephews Avery and Oliver whenever they can.
Fur Babies: Tyler and Tina have two pets, Ozzie and Watson. Ozzie is an eight-year-old black German Shepherd/Husky mix, and Watson is a ten-year old Orange Tabby that Tina swears is also part Maine Coon. While it was not love at first sight when the two fur siblings finally met, the duo love to play and hang out with each other. Ozzie and Watson enjoy being brothers but Watson would be happier if his little brother would stop destroying his food bistro and eating all of his kibble.
